Robinson Park Re-opens as Recreation Jewel of the City

After being closed for over a year, the Robinson Park Recreational Center is finally back open and it is a beautiful facility. Most of the city's dignitaries were on deck, including State Assemblymember Chris Holden, Mayor Terry Tornek and Vice-Mayor John Kennedy. The Mistress of Ceremonies was Pasadena's new Director of Human Services & Recreation and the Invocation was done by Pastor Terry Turrentine.

Over 100 people from the community came out to see the ribbon-cutting and take a tour of the new center. The Blair High School ROTC led the Pledge of Allegiance, and  Jon Jon Harreld of the group Troop sang an amazing version of the National Anthem and the community was invited to use the facility to its full capacity.

Outside of the gym, pool, and playground, the new center has a community room with a kitchen, fitness, and dance rooms.

We would advise all to take advantage of this beautiful building because it is here for your use, especially if you are already or want to live a more active life.
