Fight for Life: Failure is the Foundation of Success

Qaadir’ Naqib is the founder of “Fight 4 Life” NO EXCUSES, a non-profit organization that was inspired through his journey of losing weight. He became known as The Wellness Preacher. He has organized numerous events and fundraisers in cities from Pasadena, California to Phoenix, AZ.

In 2015, He was inspired to send a group of youth from his hometown to Washington D.C for the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. Qaadir', who co-created J.O.E 626, grew up in a single parent home in a neighborhood known for gang violence and drugs. He was able to break free from the chains of his environment and started mentoring young males with a goal of preventing them from going down the wrong path in life. In the fall of 2016, he launched a 12 week manhood training course for young men from ages 8-18.

I don't think that I personally have failed at anything that I've set out to do. My team and I have put on several different events, we've feed over five hundred people as well as clothed them, we've had car washes and even sold dinners and all of these were successful. 

Whenever I set out to do something I literally plan to fail and for me maybe that's why our events have produced the results they have thus far. Why am I sharing this? Because many of us especially the original people of the earth live in fear of failure. We are afraid of not being received by our peers, we are afraid to step out on faith if no one agrees with us or our idea and this is not wellness behavior at all. We must transform our fear into fuel and move out. Honestly,  

I am one of the most fearful living person on this planet. I love my life in fear of being a failure or being unsuccessful therefore I set out daily to learn new things, meet new people and build a network with people with like minds and not like mouths. We would like to encourage you to remove the fear that cripples you and embrace the type of fear that forces you to do rather than not to do.  

If you haven't noticed the difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is literally one thing and that one thing is how they spend their time. Really reflect over how you spend your time and then go study the lives and routine of anyone you consider too successful in life and I promise you that the only difference is what they do with their time. What am I saying? I am encouraging you to start living a life of purpose, a life of wellness behavior and most importantly realize and admit to yourself that you have been living in either fear or content (comfortable) with your status quo and that's not what you were born to do.  

Back on me as I end these few words. While planning the last Rebranding Summit I shared with my brother who is the creator of The Rebranding Summit that we've never failed with any of the prior summits and that I'm expecting it to fail so that we can learn from it. I don't know if he understood why I would be willing to take a financial lost with a smile. See too often we want our ideas funded by someone else rather than put up our own money and this is one reason why in the black community nothing gets done. If it's your idea, it's your vision that God gave you.  

Why would you place the burden on someone else? then when it's a success you want to be acknowledge but let be a failure and you never open your mouth. Again, stop living this way believe in yourself, do you know that we build our confidence up by doing things we never done? Did you know that we build our self-esteem and belief system in ourselves by completing things that we moved out on? Go ahead and start using your fear as fuel and accomplish your dreams while fulfilling your purpose in life. Move out on an idea that you have (as long as it's a positive one)
