Purpose; the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.
Have you considered what is your purpose? Whenever I ask someone why were they born or what is their purpose their response often is I don't know or I never thought about it. Elijah Muhammad teaches that whatever we enjoy doing and it comes naturally to us is most likely what we were born to do.
Some of us have more than one gift or talent from the creator such as the example in the book of Matthew chapter 25 our higher power desires that we use what he has gifted us with and that we cultivate it or them and not hide or bury our talent away from the world. Once we identify what we enjoy doing we have to discover how can we make a living (earn money) using what God gave us.
Once we have a general idea of what our purpose is we can not substitute it for something like it or close to it. For example, when I first realized that I enjoy helping others it was suggested to me that I should go into the medical field because this would give me a chance to help people. The idea sounded good however it was not the type of help I enjoy providing to others and I had to identify and understand the type of help that I enjoy doing. That is when "Fight 4 Life" No Excuses was born. Identifying what we enjoy is key and it's important because we don't have to waste time getting involved with things that will eventually bring us unhappiness like marrying for money.
Of course, I could have made a decent living working in the medical field, however, I would not have been happy for long because it wasn't me and being one hundred percent authentic to ourselves is key to not wasting time and remember that time itself is a gift to us and we should not waste it. Just think of how you felt when you knew or believed that someone did something to you on purpose and then take that feeling and imagine how you would feel knowing that everything you did with your time was geared towards fulfilling your purpose in life it should be an amazing feeling right?
Why not chase that high rather than having the mindset that I am going to die one day so I'll just have fun while I am alive and just eat what I want, do what I want, drink what I want, all in the name of I am going to die one day we should truly think about that and do away with that thinking immediately. That is like an all-star high school athlete running head first into a brick wall repeatedly.
The point is why live a life that puts us in harm's way and risks our chances of fulfilling our assignment from God. Do you know that heaven doesn't come after we live and then die, it comes while we are alive and we can enjoy it with our family and friends while we live together in harmony on earth. We all have the ability to produce heaven on earth while we live today, start living a life focused on purpose and you'll see for yourself. One great reason why we are currently living in hell is that most of us are to busy worrying about what others are doing and not focused on why we were permitted to live on this beautiful planet we call earth.
Living a life of purpose means that we are to busy to concern ourselves with what so and so doing and what they are not doing and it also grants us a peace of mind, and I don't know about you but I rather have a peace of mind than a mind of hell. Start living a life of purpose and help produce heaven on earth.
