Fight for Life: Eating Properly

O men, eat the lawful and good things from what is in the earth, and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Surely he is an open enemy to you. He enjoins on you only evil and indecency, and that you speak against God what you know not.

Qaadir’ Naqib is the founder of “Fight 4 Life” NO EXCUSES, a non-profit organization that was inspired through his journey of losing weight. He became known as The Wellness Preacher. He has organized numerous events and fundraisers in cities from Pasadena, California to Phoenix, AZ.

In 2015, He was inspired to send a group of youth from his hometown to Washington D.C for the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. Qaadir', who co-created J.O.E 626, grew up in a single parent home in a neighborhood known for gang violence and drugs. He was able to break free from the chains of his environment and started to mentor young males with a goal of preventing them from going down the wrong path in life. In the fall of 2016, he launched a 12 week manhood training course for young men from ages 8-18.

We are obligated to make sure that we put natural and lawful foods into our bodies. Our bodies are machines that operate according to how we handle them. We can not expect our minds to function properly while we are putting junk food inside of it.

Let’s start reading the ingredients inside of what we are eating. There are so many unexpected and never imagined of things taking place with these so-called foods that we are eating. I am an experimental type of person and for the past few years I have experimented with many forms of eating.

As of recent I have been eating just four meals a week. The other day I was eating with my wife and as we enjoyed our meal I shared with her that many people never get to enjoy their food. I shared with her that from all the things that I've experienced with eating I come to realize that the people who eat three, four and five times a day don't get to truly enjoy the taste of the food and the effects of a good meal on the body.

It is important that we acknowledge that in all scriptures eating the proper foods is mentioned. This is vital information that we should consider studying immediately so that we can apply it. One verse reads that “ I will make all things new” well how will HE do such a thing ?. Let us take time to accept the responsibility  placed on us to maintain our mind,body,and soul.
