Qaadir’ Naqib is the founder of “Fight 4 Life” NO EXCUSES, a non-profit organization that was inspired through his journey of losing weight. He became known as The Wellness Preacher. He has organized numerous events and fundraisers in cities from Pasadena, California to Phoenix, AZ.
In 2015, He was inspired to send a group of youth from his hometown to Washington D.C for the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March. Qaadir', who co-created J.O.E 626, grew up in a single parent home in a neighborhood known for gang violence and drugs. He was able to break free from the chains of his environment and started to mentor young males with a goal of preventing them from going down the wrong path in life. In the fall of 2016, he launched a 12 week manhood training course for young men from ages 8-18.
For the next few months we will be dealing with ATONEMENT. As mentioned above there are eight steps for us to follow in order to atone properly. Atoning is much bigger than forgiving someone although forgiveness is apart of the atonement process.
The first stage is "Point Out The Wrong". We have all experienced some form of either being wrong or wronged as well as striving to point out the wrong being done by or to someone. How was your experience with dealing with that was it easy for you or did you have a tough time? Why is it a difficult thing for us to be corrected and why is it important that we be corrected? There are many family members that are not speaking at this very moment because someone has been wronged and often one of them does not know why they are not speaking to each other, they are going with the flow rather than atoning so that they can begin the healing process.
At this time we all need to atone with ourselves, our parents, our siblings, our higher power and more. Why? Because we will never be healthy holding onto all that pain and agony of either being wronged or wronging some one else. This is vital to our health and well-being.
Many of us are suffering on many levels from many ailments because we refuse to address things that have happened in our lives, causing us in return to join the more crew. What is the more crew? The more crew is the crew that eats more, drink more, smoke more, party more and the ignore more crew.
Yes these are real crews and we must do our best to avoid joining these crews because there's another crew which is the sick more often crew which the black community leads in many illnesses. WE NEED TO STOP being afraid to point out the wrong. Rather we are the suspect or victim is not what matters; what matters is that we handle the situation in the proper manner and not just sweep it under the rug as if it never happened.
Just think about how mad our folks got when they noticed we had been sweeping things under the rug or hiding things as if we dealt with it as we should have. Why do they get so upset about us not being honest about it or doing the RIGHT THING ABOUT IT?
Now let us take that same response and example and convert to our bodies and imagine our bodies saying they are being used as a waste storage. We rather hold on and protect the rapist rather than go to the police and admit that we have been wronged. Often we take the stance as it is our fault that we have been violated. As amazing as the human body is it has it's limits and boundaries and often we overload our organs and just like any power source it eventually blows a fuse which causes a power outage.
More next issue God willing..
