Erin Green, BA, MFT has demonstrated her passion for the mental health field with over 15 + years of professional experience as a counselor, case manager, behavioral specialist, clinical therapist and therapeutic behavioral services coordinator. She has worked in a variety of environments such as group homes, juvenile detention centers, mental health agencies, substance abuse residential treatment facilities, parks, recreation centers and various schools throughout Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. The keys to Erin’s successful professional career have been her proven ability to be culturally sensitive with various ethnicities, thinking quickly and creatively to resolve crisis situations, the ability to build effective, productive working relationships, and her knowledge of mental health policies and evidence-based practice models.
Her passion for helping and empowering others has also led her to co-found the Pasadena-based Twin of A Kind Foundation (TOAK). TOAK is an organization that motivates and encourages youth/young adults to see their potential by promoting positive energy and building self-esteem through modeling and real-life lessons. In this position, she is a dynamic facilitator and motivational speaker in the areas of character building and obtaining life skills. TOAK facilitates an interactive workshop series called “Nurturing the Potential of Every Child and Teen” designed to help individuals to get to know themselves, love themselves, and be true to themselves.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University of Bakersfield and a Master’s degree in Marriage Family Therapy from the University of Phoenix. With a mental health background, she is able to integrate her knowledge of behavioral healthcare services and mental health issues to help families’ problem-solve, overcome personal issues, and work toward positive experiences.
She has been involved in the entertainment industry as a model and actress for over ten years. Her passion for modeling has given her confidence to overcome adolescent self-esteem issues. She has graced runways in LA Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week and numerous other fashion houses. She is currently a contestant on the VH1 television show, America's Next Top Model, Cycle 24. She has also appeared on The Real Talk Show to mentor and give bullied teens a makeover.
She lives by her mottos, “Once you’ve got their attention, anything is possible!” or “Why fit in, when you are born to stand out!” Erin’s vibrant, warm and bold personality is gravitating and individuals are drawn to confidence and a beautiful spirit. However, on the other end of the spectrum, she is a straight shooter and will be very honest and candid with providing you with the facts of life. Erin has a sense of humor that seems to lighten the mood of people who are in distress or just needs their ‘gut busted’. Erin is grateful for everything, putting God first in her life and who made all things possible.
