also the founder and executive director of Your Beautiful Mind, Inc., a nonprofit foundation for mental health education and connecting people with no- and low-cost mental health services; a mental health clinician, as well as a professor of psychology at numerous colleges in Southern California.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Brown a few months back while doing her hair. We held one of the best conversations I've ever had. We discussed everything and by the time I was done with her hair. We developed a connection that felt like we build for years.

She had a special type of way to make things that were bad feel good.

Truth is in life you will always have obstacles often times the load can be so heavy that it becomes hard to stand. We are often taught to tough it out and just be strong. Even at times we are to weak to fight for ourselves. Society expects us to go through life without traces of weakness. But I feel good to to know that there is help. Everyone needs help and someone to talk to before blowing a mental fuse.
